Non-executive Chairman Martin Donohue has a wealth of experience within the housebuilding industry. For 10 years he was Chief Executive of Westbury plc and was at the heart of all the strategic changes in the company’s 40 year history, overseeing its development from a family business to a FTSE 250 company. In 2001 Martin was presented with the construction industry’s ‘Personality of the Year’ award in recognition of his valuable contribution. His broad management and financial experience is proving invaluable in helping shape the Forest Group’s strategic direction.
Financial & Product Adviser Chris Price has been a key player in the development of the Forest Group of companies. Previously Chris worked for Gloucestershire-based developer Robert Hitchins Ltd for over 35 years, mainly within the surveying, purchasing and costing functions. Then, in 2000, he designed the first filled fall arrest bag and, with partners, set up Forest Safety Products Limited to bring this revolutionary new product to the housebuilding market. Now marketed as the ‘Soft Landing System’, our product today has many imitators and Chris is justifiably proud of its record in saving lives and preventing injury. Although now semi-retired, he still takes an active interest in the business. Chris has always been an innovative thinker and is continuing to pursue ideas for new products.
