There is no doubt that this type of product, incorporating air-filled polythene pockets, has become increasingly popular in the marketplace as a cheaper alternative to polystyrene-filled bags. Wanting to offer customers the widest possible choice, we therefore decided to include Aircushion Bags in our own range from January 2010.

We submit our products for stringent safety testing on a regular basis to ensure they meet BSI PAS 59 requirements. These tests are carried out at the TUV NEL Limited by staff with extensive experience in inspecting, assessing and testing protective equipment, particularly fall arrest systems.

Forest Group has a reputation for product excellence and customer safety which we are not willing to compromise. Unfortunately the results of recent tests carried out at TUV NEL (click here for a pdf of the test report) have raised concerns about the effectiveness of Aircushion Bags. The bags have failed to meet our exacting safety standards, leading to our decision to remove them from our product range with immediate effect.

We would like to reassure you that these findings do not apply to our Soft Landing Bags which continue to exceed expectations in terms of safety standards and effectiveness. We are committed to the ongoing monitoring and development of our product range to ensure we continue to offer the best possible solution to the risk of falls from height.
